Darren Halpin
Dr Darren Halpin is Professor in Public Policy at the Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. He was formerly a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at both Central Queensland University and Edith Cowan University in Australia. Prior to these appointments he was a Leverhulme Visiting Research Fellow in the Politics and IR Department at the University of Aberdeen (Scotland).
Dr Halpin teaches modules in Global Civil Society at postgraduate level and Political Participation and Pressure Groups at undergraduate level. He also contributes to modules on UK Politics, Globalisation and EU Politics. He is a supervisor for several Doctoral and MSc students.
He has been a Visiting Assoc. Professor in the Department of Political Science, University of Aarhus (Denmark) (2006) and a Visiting ‘International Lecturer’ at the annual Rural Studies Masters program held by Rural Studies Unit, University of Helsinki, Finland (2004).
